Lauren Smith's career has been deeply rooted in family law from the very beginning. Her journey commenced while a law student in 2010 when she joined a boutique family law firm, eventually culminating in the launch of her own practice in 2020. Lauren's educational background is equally diverse; she holds an English degree from Auburn University (2008) and obtained her law degree from Georgia State University College of Law in 2013.

With unwavering dedication, Lauren firmly believes that most family law disputes can and should find resolution through mediation. Consequently, she has refocused her entire legal practice on alternative dispute resolution, with a notable emphasis on Pro Se mediations tailored to unrepresented individuals. Through this approach, Lauren assists those who lack the means or inclination to retain attorneys in navigating the intricate web of their disputes. Her prior experience as a family law litigator equips her with a unique perspective to guide these individuals toward understanding their available options and achieving harmonious resolutions. Additionally, Lauren extends her expertise to personal property arbitration services, aiding individuals in the equitable distribution of assets during separation

Beyond her professional endeavors, Lauren wears the hat of a mother to four young children. Daily, she applies her mediation skills to manage the dynamics of her family life. Lauren shares this remarkable journey with her husband, Elliott, with whom she has shared 15 years of marriage. Together, they share a deep passion for skiing, traveling, and exploring the world alongside their children.
