For the majority of her career, Erica Arena-Camarillo has been dedicated to resolving issues arising in the family law arena. Erica worked as a prosecutor at the Office of the DeKalb County District Attorney for six years. While at the District Attorney’s Office she established and enforced interstate child support cases. Prior to her work with the UIFSA (Uniform Interstate Family Support Act) Division, she founded Arena-Camarillo Law where she focused solely on family law matters while also working as a staff attorney at the Gwinnett Sexual Assault Center - Children’s Advocacy Center. While at GSAC-CAC she donned many hats in an effort to aid victims while also supervising third-year law students in the temporary protective order clinic. Erica has also been a speaker at the annual child support conference held for DCSS child support attorneys.

Erica’s focus on family law is driven by a strong desire to help people. Family law is complex and encumbered with obstacles that sometimes stand in the way of people understanding what is happening within their cases. Erica’s practice focuses on providing clarity to her clients and ensuring they feel heard rather than victimized by the justice system.

Volunteering is important to Erica. She has participated in a variety of events with the Special Olympics of Georgia, put together kits for local shelters, and most recently had the privilege of volunteering at an Adopt a Senior event with her daughter.

Erica currently resides in Cobb County with her husband, who works as a Senior Prosecutor with the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office, and her two children. Erica was born in Michigan, her husband hails from California and together they are raising two Georgia peaches alongside their dog, Rocco. Her hobbies include running, hiking, reading, and camping.
